Program Director’s Corner
Welcome to the Olive View-UCLA Rheumatology Fellowship Training Program.
Thank you for taking the time to check out the Olive View-UCLA Rheumatology Fellowship training program. What a joy it is to come to work each day to take care of our patients and teach residents and fellows in this context.
We are a high-volume county hospital serving the northern Los Angeles county region where our trainees are exposed to the full spectrum of rheumatologic diseases often presenting with no known diagnosis and often in the later stages of disease.
Our fellows maintain close continuity with their patients so they can follow the disease process, see how it responds to therapy, and build strong patient-physician relationships over their years of training. Our fellows engage in several weekly adult continuity clinics, but we also have a very busy weekly procedures clinic, a dermatology / rheumatology combined clinic, and a pediatric rheumatology clinic to hone different sets of skills.
Our faculty are all passionate about teaching and mentoring, with the desire to develop our fellows into outstanding and compassionate clinicians. What an exciting specialty you have chosen! We hope you choose to apply and become a part of the Olive View rheumatology family and that it becomes the best two years of your medicine training.
