Dr. Recinos was born in Guatemala and has lived in the San Fernando Valley since the age of 10. He obtained his medical degree from UCLA and completed his Internal Medicine residency and served as Chief Resident at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center. He stayed at Olive View as a hospitalist attending with the aim to continue caring for his community. Dr. Recinos enjoys teaching clinical medicine and emphasizing the importance of a patient’s socioeconomic factors when delivering patient-centered care. Along with teaching residents, Dr. Recinos also enjoys fostering a rich educational experience for medical students by serving as the MS2 Inpatient Medicine Clerkship Site Co-Director. His outside interests include spending time with his family, hiking, and watching soccer.
