Carlin Rooke, MD

Urgent Care

Dr. Rooke completed her medical education at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine, then pursued her internship and residency in Internal Medicine here at Olive View-UCLA. She joined the Olive View faculty full time in 2012. She initially served as the hospital’s Patient Safety Officer, and was later appointed Director of the Anticoagulation Clinic.

Her clinical duties include attending in the Urgent Care Clinic, supervising the Anticoagulation Clinic, and attending on the inpatient wards. Dr. Rooke provides noon conferences and didactic sessions throughout the year, primarily focused on topics related to thromboembolic disorders and anticoagulation.

Dr. Rooke enjoys thinking about how to improve resident education and patient safety. She is a member of the Clinical Competency Committee, the Peer Review Committee, and the Anticoagulation Committee. She is constantly trying to improve accessibility and patient care in the Anticoagulation Clinic.

She is a member of the American College of Physicians and often participates in regional meetings as a judge of poster competitions.
