What attracted you to OVMC? Diverse patient population, unique pathology, County setting with close affiliation with an Academic hospital, medium sized program with family like environment
What is your favorite memory from OVMC? My favorite memories have been made during long call on medicine wards. There is a certain degree of camaraderie that develops among a team when you spent 16+ hours together. I will always remember rounding at the end of long call on Christmas Eve while eating tamales that my wife had made for the team.
What is the rarest disease you've seen at OVMC? One of the best things about OVMC is the wide variety of medical pathology that we diagnose for the first time. During residency I helped diagnose and manage many patients with interesting medical conditions such as Chagas cardiomyopathy, hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis, and antisynthetase syndrome. There is constant opportunity for learning in all medical specialties.
What is your favorite thing to do in LA? Eat at new restaurants. Drink and new bars and breweries. Going to concerts at the many music venues LA has to offer
What are your hobbies? Soccer, running, weight lifting, and watching movies
